Jane is in the studio.
We made this for a friend and snuck it into her house as a surprise for Valentine's day.
Getting ready to go to Nashville tomorrow BUT lots to do today! I lined this odd little old suitcase with linen this afternoon. I think it will be a great prop- favors? Tags? We couldn't resist draping it with a pennant that we made for Valentine's day last February. Time to pack!
Love this person and cork!

Our first box invitation included pansy(her favorite flower) candles, a custom party popper, and a tiny framed photo of the birthday girl! We decorate the inside of the boxes too because it's fun to find something where you don't expect it. Our baker's twine collection is growing- we love the spools of color.
An old photograph was the inspiration for this birthday invitation.  Brother and sister are now 84 and 83! We had fun making our own confetti with a punch dot press too. Old imagery and tickets adorn the envelope too-
We made these shower invites for a bride-to-be that will be going on a European honeymoon(lucky girl!). We used antique postage stamps, old tickets, poster stamps, vintage postcards, and other favorite old imagery on the boxes. The desk was heaped with paper scraps! We filled the miniature airmail envelopes with small notecards and paper, then tied the bundles with soft red ribbon. Beautiful/tasty art candy bon bons were tucked into small glassine envelopes. Stuffed boxes went into clear envelopes and into the post they went!

We made this tussie mussie for a bride's shower and filled each one with candies and a vintage silver spoon. We hand stamped each spoon with the initial of the person receiving it! It was a bit of a learning experience because we were using the wrong kind of stamps, but it worked out in the end.

Party favor pillow boxes! We made these for a Christmas eve dinner and a birthday party a few months later.
Birthday party place cards

Place card holder
These place card holders were a little family project! Bill figured out how to weight them and taught Jane how to use the drill press. Our new hot glue gun was fab. After a long search, we found the great memo pins made by ThirdShift. Here's a link to her store: http://www.etsy.com/people/ThirdShift

We are so excited to go to Nashville on Tuesday to do Maeghan and Josh's wedding! It's at Front Porch  Farms in Charlotte, TN, and we're SURE it will be fabulous! The weather even looks like it's going to behave. Now if I can just find some more mirrors for the pavilion!

We made these invitations in late January. The origami balls are detail decorations for the wedding reception.
