It really is Springtime!

This week we are busily finishing up all the details for Kate & John's wedding next Saturday. We have ordered piles of luxurious spring blooms. Here are a couple photos of the vibe we have in mind..

Time is marching on

We haven't posted in some time, but we have been busy! All the 900 NYWCRF invitations hit the post office last week. We still love them- even after making them for a while.

Last week we made some flower arrangements for an old friend of Jane's too. Hey Brent-

This is our favorite Laguna Beach destination wedding so far- Deanna & Jarrod, their families, and friends. We loved the juxtaposition of a vintage look in this modern space! We met this couple a year before their wedding (thank you Robin Ballard!). Almost all of our interaction was via the phone and email, but I think we got it right for them.

                        We used galvanized buckets with grasses to delineate their intimate space.
               Deanna wanted lots of cremes, blushes, and pinks- the petals softened the stone floor.
                                              We used a very neutral palette through out.

                               Lush summer blooms and blackberries were a natural choice.
                                 The glass floats a nod to the ocean without being beachy.

Photo shoot The Ranch 7 November

Thank you to The Ranch for the opportunity to create an event in 24 hours! Our flowers were heaven sent- peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas- and we added to them with local fall foliage and luscious seasonal produce. From our bevy of props and supplies (and fab furniture from The Ranch) we were able to create it all in almost no time. Jane and I have always wanted to do wedding in a week (That is next week's photo shoot!) but this was the most impromptu "vignette" to date. Lindsey, Jim, and the Ranch crew were ever amazing, and a heartfelt thanks to Vincent Ivicevic for the lovely photos.
